The Men Who Built America

1/23/2016

Watch the History Channel's 8-part series, "The Men Who Built America" to learn more about Cornelius Vanderbilt, Andrew Carnegie, John D. Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan, and Henry Ford and how their industrial innovations and business empires revolutionized modern society. It is available on the History Channel's website here or via YouTube here.

As you watch, record information detailing the business practices that made the men either "Captains of Industry" or "Robber Barons".Be prepared to defend your choice in both a class discussion and a writing assignment.

Do we need to watch all 8 episodes?

Is there a way to watch this without the white glow? Do we have to watch all 8 episodes?

Watch as much as you can. Divide up the episodes and share notes. And I'm not sure about the white glow, Billy. Try both the History Channel and YouTube links.

All I see is one big video when I hit play ? It's 40 minutes long , is there more than that ? Or is that all of them in one ?

What is the difference between the them? The link hooked to the History channel is like a hour and 26 minutes long and the one on the website is only 43 minutes long.

History, although sometimes made up of the few acts of the great, is more often shaped by the many acts of the small.
